Thank you for choosing Priory School. Our success is based on meaningful collaboration with parents and students. The information on the ‘Parent’ section of the website aims to help you make the most of your child’s time at Priory.
Our approach combines the highest expectations with a sensitivity to learners’ individual needs, concentrates on maintaining the very best standards of learning and teaching, and takes every opportunity to recognise and reward achievement.
We are very proud of the confident, skilled and ambitious students who leave us. These qualities are the result of the opportunities that derive from our incredibly broad curriculum and emphasis on experiences beyond the classroom, information on which can be found in this section of the website along with practical information, such as catering and uniform.
At Priory School we believe trips and visits are incredibly important in developing children’s academic ability, independence and confidence. We’re very proud of our extensive educational visits programme, which continues to grow year-on-year.
We understand that these trips can involve a lot of paperwork, as well as careful practical and financial consideration. We aim to send details home as soon as trips and visits are planned.
NSPCC – Childline launches a new counselling app
Childline has recently launched a new digital app ‘For Me’ to offer support to young people via their smartphone. The app has been designed by four young people and allows users to chat online with a counsellor and explore the ‘Ask Sam’ problem pages.
Beware of this bullying app!
A mobile phone app called SimSimi lets bullies send abusive messages anonymously. And it’s already spreading like wildfire across our schools – countless children’s lives are being made miserable right now.
Young people use mobile apps every day. At first sight SimSimi looks perfectly normal, even cute. But it’s a bully’s dream come true: it doesn’t cost a penny to download from Google’s and Apple’s app stores and it lets people send nasty, anonymous, messages.
