Free School Meals Allowance

The Free School Meals allowance is currently set at £2.70 and is loaded daily on to our cashless system. The purpose of this allowance is to provide those that are entitled, to a balanced meal and therefore pupils must select a choice which is balanced. Drinks only, or drinks and a sweet item will not be classed as an acceptable choice and pupils will be asked to make an alternative selection.  Please feel free to contact the Catering Manager if you have any queries.

The school day consists of two breaks; first break is between 11.00am and 11.30am. Second break is between 12.30pm and 13.00pm.

Morning Break

We offer a excellent choice of hot and cold snacks for all pupils and staff including paninis, potato wedges, pizza slices etc

Lunch Time Service

New this year is a 4 weekly menu, we also provide hot puddings and selection of homemade cakes. The 4 weekly menus are displayed around the school. Are meal of the day provides a choice of a hot dish, bottle of water, piece of fruit or Oreo biscuit, which ensures we provide a balanced choice within the nutritional standards set by the Government. These prices are always within the school meal allowance, allowing every child a balanced 2 course meal.

Baguette Bar

We have a baguette bar facility which runs similar to other outside establishments. A pupil can have a baguette made with a choice of fillings and salad. This facility is extremely popular with all pupils. The baguette bar facility is located in both food outlets. .

Pupils are able to pre-order and pay for baguettes, at breakfast time for lunchtime which enables them to fast track to the front of a very busy queue.

The catering team are always interested in feedback. If there is something we can introduce (e.g. menu choices) provided it falls within the nutritional standards then we will try and incorporate your suggestions.
