We are delighted to offer the first collaborative DofE training website, aimed at helping all our students complete their DofE Award. The site focuses on student learning, walking them through each aspect of Expedition training; first aid, route planning, expedition kit and packing, etc. It provides individual feedback on completed sections and provides a certificate of recognition at the end of each section.

In 2016 we introduced the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) award scheme here at Priory School. The DofE scheme gives students the opportunity to move beyond their comfort zone and encourages them to push themselves and have amazing new experiences. Students will build confidence, resilience, make new friends and help them develop life skills. The final part of the award involves students undertaking two or three day camping expeditions in locations across the South Downs and South Coast.

The scheme is available to students in years 9-11. This year 130 students have signed up to take on either the bronze or silver award. Numbers have increased year on year since 2016. The scheme is entirely run by Priory staff, however if you are the parent of a student at Priory School and would like to volunteer to assist with expedition we would be very pleased to hear from you. Training will be provided.
The award consists of four different sections:
