Introduction to Careers and Guidance

Our Careers Programme is a vital part of our commitment to preparing every student for a successful and fulfilling future. We aim to ensure that all students develop the knowledge, skills, confidence and experiences they need to make informed decisions about their next steps and realise their full potential.

Our dedicated Careers Team provides high-quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG), inspiring students to explore their interests, recognise their strengths and understand the opportunities available to them. Through our programme, students are supported to develop the skills, knowledge and aspirations needed to progress successfully through school and into further education, higher education, apprenticeships, employment or training.

We are proud to be early adopters of the Gatsby Benchmarks, using these nationally recognised standards, alongside our Compass benchmarking results, to continually evaluate and enhance our careers provision. Our programme supports students from Year 7 through to Year 11, ensuring that careers learning is progressive, meaningful and responsive to their individual needs and aspirations.

We are also working towards the Quality in Careers Standard, demonstrating our commitment to delivering a high-quality, impartial and inclusive careers programme that prepares every student for their future.
